Solving the Problem
Opportunity Summary: In my last post, I described an opportunity that I thinks exists which is affordable and quality t-shirts. This issue is one that would be shared by those who like to wear trendy and fun tees. The retailers who sell the majority of clothes either sacrifice quality for price or price for quality. I think there is a solution to this issue, one where t-shirts are both made with the upmost quality and are affordable.
Solution: I think the solution to this issue would be to open up an online retailer which specializes in creating cute and affordable tees. The retailer would advertise through social media, targeting girls ages from around 14 to early 20's. At first, the styles would be pretty specialized, but if there was to be business success, then eventually, we could develop more designs and cater to a wider audience. Furthermore, the store would make cheaper shirts by outsourcing the manufacturing but would still have quality by keeping a close eye on the manufacturing process. I think the appeal of this store would not only be the t-shirts, but also the convince of receiving them. Having cool, trendy clothes shipped to them would take out the hassle that many consumers go through when trying to find clothes that are original and stylish. Many of the customer base would probably be those who usually like to go thrifting or enjoy the old school style.
I really like this idea! As a guy who loves clothes and looking fly like g-6 this gives me hope that one day that this kind of store will be able to cater to the men's clothes, and style trends. The idea of having your main source of marketing through social media is smart. this will hit the demographic you are trying to hit.
ReplyDeleteSponsoring a company on social media is the best way to get the most catering, since all we do now is rely on online shopping or look at the latest styles on Pinterest, etc. Making clothes affordable would benefit your sales because some people cannot afford it. If you spread the word there will be more retails in the future, as well.
ReplyDeleteI like your idea of creating high-quality, affordable tees because I have noticed cheaper tees aren’t made as well as more expensive ones. Using social media platforms to disseminate your t-shirt brand is an excellent idea. Most girls shop online; therefore, the target audience for your brand would be more likely to purchase your brand through social media. I prefer to ship clothes and online shop than to waste my time searching for chic clothes for hours throughout the mall.
ReplyDeleteI love this idea. My favorite type of business is one that is an online retailer. There is no need to have an actual storefront anymore as it is super expensive and makes covering you overhead just that much harder. Online retailers only need a place to store their products, which is usually your home until you blow up, which costs about nothing.
