My Customer:

My t-shirt company would cater towards those with a early 90s sort of punk-rocker style. The customers are the sort of people who dig a sort of skater aesthetic. The prototypical customer would be in their late teens or early twenties. Music is probably really important to them. More than likely, they know someone who is in a band or are in a band themselves. They would rather wear old school thrifted t-shirts than actually have to dress up. The customer is someone who likes to be trendy and stylish, but doesn't want to have to try too hard. Some of them dress to this style just for the trend and others are actual skaters or are punk rock music enthusiasts. They own at least one pair of Vans, which they've probably had since middle school. Oh, speaking of middle school, they probably went through some sort of emo phase where they spent too much money at Hot Topic and only listened to Taking Back Sunday and Mayday Parade. They don't shower more than three times a week, not because they're gross, but because they're lazy. They spent way too much time listening to music and hanging out with friends than actually doing what they need to do and therefore, they aren't the most productive people. The customer isn't super political and try their best to avoid having to engage in hard hitting debates about super controversial topics, like whether or not abortion should be legal. They, of course, do have an opinion on the matter, but they would rather not ruin relationships over opposing viewpoints. They aren't one for conflict and would rather spend their time with their pals having a time than attempting to push forward some agenda. The customer is younger and so they don't have a lot of money, so they look for a deal wherever they can get it.

Me & the Customer:

I have a lot in common with the customer because this sort of t-shirt company is a place that I would want to shop at. I feel like, for the most part, most entrepreneurs would have a lot in common with their customer. This is because they are the ones who have noticed/have seen the problem. In order to take advantage of an opportunity, a person must first know that one exists. In order to serve your customer, an entrepreneur should be their customer, at least a little.

  1. Hey there Morgan! I feel that this avatar really captures the market that you are trying to hit. I feel that entrepreneurs have a lot in common with their market they are trying to serve, because they are the ones who have a similar problem, and found a way to serve it. I feel that my sister will connect with this avatar and could be a customer if this idea becomes real.

  2. Morgan, I have followed your idea from the beginning and I keep thinking, this needs to happen. The market you are targeting is an up and coming social fashion and will continue to grow as ell as retaining customers. Your customers are young and as you acquire more young customers, the already established customer base will remain as their style remains as they age.
